Thesis writing schedule: stages and milestones
A good timetable does not divide the timing by the number of pages planned. It takes into account the dependencies: the study should not start before the tool is accepted, the analysis requires the data collected, and the final formatting makes sense once the content is stabilized.

Key information
- ✓Write down the milestones as concrete results.
- ✓Identify the tasks dependent on supervisor, respondents and institutions.
- ✓Plan for weeks, and choose a small closed score every day.
- ✓Leave a buffer for corrections, bibliography and PDF checks.
Map of the whole project
Write down the results you want: topic, plan, review, tool, data, analysis, chapters, corrections, and final version.
Of a thickness of not more than 10 mm
Instead of writing a theory, plan to complete a specific sub-section with quotations. The milestone should be clearly verified.
Plan of week and day
During the week, combine writing, working with sources, and checking previous passages. Choose one main task and a short backup task for each day. Don't plan on making the most of every hour, because small problems are inevitable.
Update and buffer
Once a week, compare the schedule with the actual pace of the task and move it forward. Buffer for supervisor, data errors, correction, logs and export. Do not start by renouncing quality control when there is a delay.
Summary
A buffer for supervisor decisions and final control is part of the project, not a time that can be safely removed.
